PIGGY CITY USA is basically my hobby and it has been for over 30 years. About 15 years ago, I moved mostly to pigs and people often ask why I changed. That has been hard to answer until I discovered how much I enjoy seeing a set of grandparents come into my booth holding the hand of a much-loved grandchild and watching them pour over all the piggy banks that I have for sale. When I realized that I wanted to continue something that I grew up with and something that would foster that kind of opportunity for grandparents everywhere showed me why I do mostly piggy banks. I want to be the first name you think of when you think of purchasing a piggy bank for someone and I want my piggy banks to enter your consciousness as a proper gift to give for most any gift-giving occasion.

For the last few years, I have tried to make my piggy banks a possible gift for you to consider at every gift-giving opportunity by showing up at many of the places you go during your free time and at many of the venues you might frequent. PIGGY CITY USA has been an annual participant at many of the arts and craft shows in the southeastern US area and will probably continue to do that for the foreseeable future. I have done shows put on in the parking lots of local businesses, I have done numerous church shows, as well as school shows that are put on to benefit some organization within the school. I have anchored shows being sponsored by the local Chambers of Commerce such as Olde Time Hiram Days and the 1893 Jamboree in Ringgold, GA. I have done outdoors enthusiasts shows and hunting shows in Moultrie, GA. Most recently I have gotten very involved with the competitive barbecue cooking team circuit. I have usually done well since I celebrate the pig much as they do,( although I make the pigs beautiful and lasting while they make it delicious and supper.) I have been to shows like Christmas on the River in Demopolis, Alabama down south and as far north as the Chalaka Show in Sylacauga in Alabama; from The Big Pig Jig in Vienna, GA to Sherman’s Last Burning in Covington, GA. and shows all the way up to the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational in Lynchburg, Tennessee. I have even joined forces with some caterers in Atlanta who provide barbecue for their customers, and my piggies are being used as centerpieces and table decorations.

Some years ago, I greatly needed regular help at each show, so I solicited the help of a very good friend of mine and she graciously agreed to become my "roadie" and give me a hand. I don’t believe she had any idea of what she was getting into or how long this would last, or just where it would all lead but now I think it would be fair for you to call this the "Jerry and Terri Show" as she has joined me by marrying me and making this "our" hobby.

I am called "BOSS HOG" but don’t you dare let her hear you refer to her as "MISS PIGGY".
